Frequently Asked Questions

Why have I received a letter from Advantis?

You will have received a letter from us because one of your creditors has passed your account to us. They will have done this because they believe you owe them money.

It is perfectly logical for your creditor to use a firm like Advantis to assist in collecting overdue accounts and they will want to solve the problem as amicably as possible without the need for legal proceedings if at all possible.

On your letter you will find details of our company, including contact details. You will also find details of your creditor and the amount owed including a reference number.

When contacting Advantis, you will need the reference number which will make it much easier to deal with your account. If you require further details on the amount owed, then Advantis can provide this to you over the phone once we have confirmed your identity (which we need to do for data protection purposes).

How do I pay?

Advantis accepts a wide range of payment methods and these are detailed on your letter. If you require any further help, please call us and we will be happy to assist.

Is it possible to arrange a payment plan with Advantis?

If you find you are unable to pay the full amount of the outstanding debt then we would encourage you to contact us to discuss your options. We will work with you to find a solution that you can afford and that is acceptable to our client.

What happens if I ignore the reminder letters?

There are always solutions to your problems and this is never the right course of action. If you ignore the reminder letters then it opens the door for your creditor to take further action, which may include legal action. If this is a route they take, it could result in further costs being added to the amount you already owe.

Please contact us at the earliest opportunity to discuss your options, which may include payment plans. By keeping in contact with us throughout the process, you can alleviate some of the stress and avoid extra costs being added to your account.

But I have already paid this debt!

If you believe you have already paid this debt then please call us on the number stated on your letter. We will need further information about the payment that you have made and we may need proof of the payment. We will then liaise with your creditor who will attempt to locate and confirm your payment.
